To celebrate its 30th anniversary, CLAAS is updating its high-performance combine harvester LEXION with a new model. The main changes relate to the grain hopper capacity, engine power and cab. The LEXION 7500, LEXION 8700 and LEXION 6800 will also receive new engines.

At Agritechnica 1995, CLAAS took combine harvester performance to a new level in terms of power, efficiency and comfort with the LEXION 480.

Today, after 30 years and more than 75,000 LEXIONs built, the four LEXION series 8000, 7000, 6000 and 5000 with their unique range of equipment inspire customers around the world with their unrivalled productivity and harvesting efficiency as well as maximum comfort.

For the upcoming Agritechnica and the 2026 harvest, CLAAS is presenting a number of important innovations in the top class of combine harvesters. In addition to further increasing productivity, the focus is on operator comfort.

New LEXION 8500 and MAN engines for the entire LEXION 8000 series.

Starting with the 2026 model year, the LEXION 8000 series will consist of five performance classes in both wheeled and TERRA TRAC versions:

The new LEXION 8500 / 8500 TERRA TRAC completes the lower end of the range, allowing customers to choose configurations with the right engine power and grain hopper capacity. The LEXION 8500 is powered by the MAN D26 six-cylinder engine (12.4 litres, 549 hp) and features DYNAMIC POWER and DYNAMIC COOLING systems. The 8700 and 8600 models are powered by the MAN D38 engine (15.2 litres) with 646 and 598 hp respectively.

All models are equipped with the APS SYNFLOW HYBRID system: 1700 mm feed width, 755 mm threshing drum, two 445 mm / 4200 mm rotors. The LEXION 8500 is equipped with 5 concave rotors (max. 1000 rpm), the older models have 6 rotors (up to 1200 rpm).

The LEXION 8600 is available with a 13,000 or 15,000 litre hopper, the LEXION 8700 with a 15,000 or 18,000 litre hopper and a discharge speed of 180 l/s.
