CLAAS SUNSPEED harvesters: the new generation for sunflower harvesting
CLAAS is introducing three new SUNSPEED headers with working widths of 7.50, 9.40 and 11.90 m for harvesting sunflower regardless of row spacing. The headers are fully integrated into the CEBIS combine control system and offer extensive customisation options.
Versatility and adaptability
The SUNSPEED harvesters allow you to work efficiently in fields with different sunflower varieties and different conditions. The design of the shuttles ensures high adaptability to plant height, stem thickness and basket size.

Tool-free adjustment of the shuttles
Each shuttle has a length of 1.60 m and is equipped with a sliding plate for infinitely variable gap adjustment from 4.0 to 6.5 cm. The gap can be changed by simply loosening the screw and moving the shuttle tip. The cup-shaped design reduces seed loss. Reliable cutting is ensured by the CLAAS knife bar.
Hydraulically adjustable reel with reel adjustment
The height and speed of the reel can be adjusted while driving via CEBIS and the CMOTION joystick. The reinforced tines deliver the baskets evenly to the auger. The angle-adjustable guide plate and toothed roller ensure precise cutting of the sunflower heads. The roller can be removed for other harvesting methods.
The main advantages of the new SUNSPEED harvesters:
- Three widths: 7.50 m, 9.40 m, 11.90 m.
- Adjustable shuttles (4.0-6.4 cm) for harvesting regardless of row spacing.
